The Gabbeh we sell is woven by the Qashqai people of Iran.
This weaving technique was finally registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2012. The weaving method involves "tying" each warp thread to the weft thread one by one, and it boasts such durability that it can be used for 50 years even when wearing shoes.
Gabbeh is also one of the items worn by brides. It is woven with many wishes and feelings, and is said to bring happiness to the family, and also plays a role in "connecting" people.
